A microfibre cloth with a standard glass cleaner keeps the surface clear of marks and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive cloths that can scratch the surface over time.

Tempered glass resists scratching better than people expect, though placing items directly on the glass without a coaster or tray over years of use can eventually show fine marks.

Generally yes, though very energetic pets and glass edges are worth considering together, a rounded-edge glass top is a safer choice than a sharp-cornered one.
