Ye, upholstered bedheads are built for daily use. The fabric is fixed over a solid internal frame, so it maintains its shape over time. Care depends on the specific upholstery type: bouclé and chenille should be vacuumed gently and spot-cleaned; fabric panels can usually be wiped with a damp cloth. Always check the care label.
Yes, several bedheads in our range are sold separately and designed to be compatible with standard bed frame sizes. This gives you the flexibility to add a bedhead to an existing frame, or to mix and match a frame and bedhead from different parts of the collection.
Our bedheads are available in upholstered fabric, bouclé, chenille and solid oak, depending on the model. Upholstered bedheads add warmth and softness to the room and are comfortable to lean against. Solid oak bedheads have more visual structure and suit rooms with other natural material pieces.
As a guide, a bedhead should extend at least 30cm above the top of the mattress when fitted. In rooms with high ceilings, a taller bedhead of 120cm or more from the floor can balance the proportions well. In lower-ceilinged rooms, a lower profile 80–90cm from the floor prevents the bedhead from feeling too dominant.
Most of our bedheads attach to the bed frame using a standard bracket system. Some models are wall-mounted, which offers more flexibility on positioning height and works independently of the bed frame. The attachment method is specified in each product listing, it's worth checking before you buy if you have a particular bed frame already.
