Everything you need to know about chaise longues

Our chaise longues are available in woven fabrics, bouclé, chenille and textured weaves depending on the model. Fabric samples are available free of charge from our website. We'd always recommend ordering samples before committing, colour and texture read very differently on screen than in your own light.

Yes, most of our chaise longues are available in both left and right-hand configurations. This refers to which side the backrest runs along when you're lying on it, left-hand means the back is on your left when reclined. Check the individual product listing for the specific options available on each model.

A chaise longue has a backrest running along part of its length, which allows for a reclining rather than fully horizontal position. A day bed is fully flat with no backrest and can function as a single bed. The chaise is better suited to reading and reclining; the day bed is closer to a narrow bed and suits a guest or studio context.

Absolutely. A chaise longue works beautifully as a standalone piece, in a bedroom at the foot of the bed, in a large hallway, in a dedicated reading room, or as the primary seating in a compact living space. It doesn't need to sit alongside a sofa to make sense; in fact, it often works better on its own.

Most chaise longues sit between 155cm and 200cm in length. The right size depends on your height, you should be able to stretch out fully without your feet hanging off the end. A chaise that's too short defeats the purpose. Check the product dimensions carefully and measure against your own height before buying.
