The Designer
Adrien Carvès
A graduate of Strate École de Design, Adrien Carvès joined the Habitat Design Studio in 2015. There he developed an approach to furniture that combines clean lines with enveloping comfort and a particular attention to detail. He designs elegant, accessible pieces in which the handling of material meets the handling of form. His Cajou armchair, created for Habitat and freely inspired by the cabriolet chair, pairs the softness of velvet with the rigour of a metal base. Much loved for its enveloping design, the piece suggests a protective, stylised shell. A balanced creation, between sensuality and minimalism.
